Such a classic bag
I've had this bag for almost a year and I can honestly say it is one of my most prized possessions. No matter how many times I switch out my bags, I also come back to this one. It's a classic piece that I think won't ever go out of style. I can easily fit everything and the kitchen sink in it. I also want to note that as a 5.2 girl, this bag doesn't overpower me or feel like an additional body member. Most oversized totes just don't lay well against your body, but this feels so comfortable and easy to use. I love made well's quality and will continue to buy more items from them.

My ol' standby
I would call this bag my ol' standby – it's been around the world with me and I just keep going back to it. The leather wears beautifully and it gets so comfortable and relaxed. It's a great big bag for travel that you can stuff in your suitcase as needed and looks pristine when you need it to. My only complaint is water, even a dripping water bottle will destroy the clean look of the leather. Mine has unfortunately faced a lot of that but doesn't stop me from using it :)

Great every day bag
This is a well made leather bag that is pretty lightweight even after loading it up with all my stuff. Its a beautiful color, a bit prone to scratching, but that only adds to the character. Would definitely recommend and I would honestly repurchase.

I've carried this transport tote for about four years now, and it's my everyday, all the time bag. It's so amazing, goes with everything, totes anything and is fairing beautifully. The color is even more rich and gorgeous now than the day I bought it. It just keeps getting better.
I recently bought my mother + sister in law one and they're just as in love with theirs as I am with mine.

So good I got a backup!
After obsessing over the english saddle transport tote for YEARS and seeing it everywhere -- I finally got myself one in cabernet. I braced myself for the worst: uneven color, dye rubbing off, obvious signs of wear and tear but a year later? My bag looks great and I still get compliments on it constantly! Yes, the corners are faded from being thrown around and it's scuffed and scratched, but because of the dark color you really can't tell. If i was the kind of person who takes a bit more care with their things, this bag would last me forever! But since I'm not, I bought myself a backup so I don't have to worry about the cabernet ever being discontinued!

My go-to bag
I have three transport totes. It is the bag I carry with me EVERY WHERE. I am a high school English teacher, I use it to lug around my piles and piles of essays. I use it when I am running errands. I even used it as a diaper bag when my daughter was a baby. It's just super versatile and comfortable. My favorite color is the dried rose one they sold last summer. It's just a gorgeously supple leather, and THE PERFECT BAG. BUY IT, you will not regret it.

Good quality big size
I have been eyeing this item forever and debated myself in whether I would go with everyone else in this bag or find another unique good quality leather tote. I have been looking for a good tote for awhile, came to the decision that this is the most good value for the price.
I initially got a wide tote one, upon receiving the package I was very disappointed at how saggy it was and thin the leather was. So I returned it and ordered this one instead. The olive color is way more beautiful than the photo. It's dark olive green same as other designs from Madewell. The leather is thicker than the wide one so it's not saggy with my 15 inch macbook pro. When I am not carrying the computer tho, the bag feels a bit too large for me (5 ft 3 inch, 117 lbs). But overall I like the bag. I think it is a good value for the price.

Great color, great straps, great comfort.
The bag had a color that I was totally looking for. I was very pleased with the length of the straps and considering that I am 5'10"-- I need my long straps.
The color barely rubbed off onto any of my clothing and the little pocket has been so convenient.
Definitely recommend!

Love this new color
I love the Dark cabernet color of transport tote, quality of the leather is so good! It is my second bag from Madewell it is so versatile exactly what I was looking for. Only downside is color stains on shirts and back side of my pants. It has been only few weeks since I got this bag, I wish it will stop coloring my clothes.
