So flattering!
I sized up because I am tall, and I wanted to make sure this top wasn't too cropped on me. I'm glad I did because they ended up being perfect- the XL hits me just below the waistband on high-waisted jeans and shorts (I am 5'11").
I also really love the cut of the straps and neckline. It's just really flattering and I wear this top all the time!
One thing to note is that the fabric is a lot thicker than I was expecting by looking at the photos. It's not a sweater tank or anything like that, but it's different from a regular cotton T.

Perfect fit
I love this tank! I needed something slightly cropped with a looser fit to wear with my high waisted jeans and this was perfect! I can see switching it up with a sweater and boots to wear into fall.

i love this tank--it's cropped but not too cropped (perfect with high-waisted anything), and the color is unique compared to anything in my closet. I like that the straps are wide, and the fabric is light and flowy without feeling too delicate. lovely late summer addition!

This is a fun top that I got in black, white and tan. Have worn and washed it several times and it does not need to be ironed!!!!! Highly recommend!

I sized up, but you don't have to.
So I personally sized up because I wanted a little more length I don't like when some shirts are too short it makes me look boxy because my hips are a little wider. In all madewell tees I'm a medium but I sized up to large just because I wanted that looser longer look so I can front tuck if I wanted and the back would fall nicely. It's a super light fabric it doesn't exactly feel like a t shirt material it's looser and lighter. I got the red it's true to the color in the photo and it looks good with really any wash of jean. Would recommend, I'm kind of considering getting the dress that matches this shirt.
