Born in Belgium, raised in South Texas and now based in Brooklyn, designer Charlotte Cauwe handcrafts jewelry from recycled metals—and her bold-but-functional pieces are Madewell HQ faves. This peace sign ring was originally dreamed up by her grandfather in 1969 as a gift to her mom (it's being reissued for a limited time in honor of its 50th anniversary).
