Called chamaedorea elegans (ooooh, latin), the neanthe bella palm or a parlor palm, this pet-friendly little guy is a rainforest native that thrives in medium to bright light (and it comes complete with a pot).

Medium to bright indirect light and a north or west-facing window is best (do not keep in direct sunlight).
Soil should be slightly moist with a slight period of drought between waterings (water when the top one to two inches of soil is dry, likely every seven to ten days).
