Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love!!!!!! OMG! Love this jumpsuit! It's sooooo flattering and extremely comfortable! The whole button down the back thing can be a little off putting but I was able to reach behind there and button and unbutton it so it wasn't a problem for me. The silk is so light and airy yet of good quality. The pattern is so pretty! The cut is very flattering. I am expecting tons of complements when I wear this out. :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful but nonfunctional This romper is great and very flattering. Only wear it to a place where you have a bathroom buddy because it buttons up the back you can't get it on and off by yourself.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Could have been perfect I absolutely love the fit, style, and quality of this jumpsuit. The pattern is gorgeous in person, the fabric is super luxurious, and it fits me like a glove. For reference I'm 5'11", I'm usually a size 10 in dresses and size 10 or 30 in pants, and this fits well both in size and length. This could have been my perfect jumpsuit. HOWEVER I literally cannot get in and out of it on my own. There's a zipper on the back that goes up to my waist. That's fine. But then there's a row of buttons from my lower back to my neck that it is impossible to close on my own. I can usually get the bottom and top buttons, but the ones right in the middle of my back are impossible. I love it too much to return it, so I'm going to try to have it altered. I'm hoping that a talented tailor could add another zipper where the buttons are, and sew the buttons on the old button holes for decoration.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful but not functional This jumpsuit is a beautiful piece that fits really well. However, the buttons up the back make it impossible to wear unless you’ve got a buddy to help you when you need the restroom. Not sure what they were thinking with this one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from ALMOST perfect The fit on this was near perfect on me - fitted at the waist and blousy at top. The fabric is gorgeous, and I felt really fancy wearing it. Beautiful drape, subtle print. It's way too long, which I encounter most times since I have short legs. BUT as other reviewers have stated...I am sending it back because of the buttons running up the back. I have no idea how I'm supposed to get dressed by myself/at all. I even Googled for videos and wikiHow's and came up with nothing. I really wanted to keep it! I also considered extending the zipper up the back but didn't want to run the risk of ruining the garment if it went awry. I'm so sad to return it. I guess if you have a personal valet or something who could help you in and out of it, you should get it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful, but poorly designed I tried on this jumpsuit in the store, and as the previous reviewer mentioned in her comment, the jumpsuit is beautiful, incredibly comfortable, fits amazingly, and well-made. I would buy this jumpsuit in a heartbeat if it weren't for those darn buttons along the back. They are hard to button, and you will need to have someone button and unbutton it every time you want to put it on and take it off. Such a shame.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from WHY BUTTONS?! I want to start off by saying this jumpsuit is TOTALLY gorgeous! I loved it ever since the first teasers of this collab and immediately ordered it when it was released- it arrived today and I was so so excited to get it on... Until I had to button myself in! The buttons are the fabric-covered kind, and with the delicate silk I was nervous I'd rip them out. Getting myself buttoned all the way up the back was a struggle and I realized that I could never wear this jumpsuit because I'd have to ask someone to undress me every time I wanted to go to the bathroom. It's actually pretty cute if you only button the top on and have it zippered to the waist, but what to do with the buttons and button holes? For ladies who feel fine about the buttons- it's more fitted than a lot of other Madewell styles, but the material and cut are gorgeous.... just not for me. Three stars because it's definitely 5/5 style but 1/5 function :(

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gorgeous fabric, odd fit on me. I am really on the fence about this one- I want to love it!! The fabric is just gorgeous, and I love the top portion, and can deal with the buttons (though I hadn't thought of that about the bathroom while out...) but for me, the issue is the fit. Though the waist fits well, it is somehow quite baggy on me in the crotch. The crotch seems too low, and the pleats in the front make it seem like it bags out in an unflattering way in the front. Perhaps I could size down, but the waist fits right, and also the length of the legs is already bordering on too short for me. I just need the crotch to be a bit higher, and the legs a bit longer.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for petites I was really excited to get this in the mail because I had been eyeing it online forever, but ended up being disappointed. At 5'3", 116 lbs, it was just way too long and big in the bottom half, even though I ordered a 00. I also thought the material was too thin for the price point. It might work for someone with much longer legs, but I had to return.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautiful—and poor quality—jumpsuit I had a bit of an ordeal with this jumpsuit. I got it for a special occasion and, even when it arrived damaged, I really wanted to make it work. Madewell customer service was stellar in helping me with the order. First things first: the buttons in the online photo are not what you get. The garment has fabric-covered buttons that are a little too big for the buttonholes and pull the fabric. Still, it's beautiful, so I went so far as to order shell buttons to replace the originals. Ultimately, I instead gave up on this jumpsuit and returned it because, in trying it on twice, holes started to appear where the fabric pulled next to the buttonholes. The fabric is just too thin.
