So versatile!
I love these pants! I’ve worn them two different ways so far. Casually, I wore them with an ivory choker-neck cable sweater. For a holiday party, I wore them with a shiny black ruffled off-the-shoulder top. The two looks were so different! Mine don’t fit me as loose as you see on the model. I was ridiculously comfortable though, and I can’t wait to wear the pants again.

Thick fabric, runs large
These are very nice quality. The fabric is substantial, so they really work as trousers. I am 5'4, 117 lbs, size 27 jeans and S tops, and I ordered these pants in S. They are not as fitted as the model's, so I'll be exchanging for an XS.

Cool girl pants
Love these. The fabric is thick and confortable, and the color is easy to wear. I’ve dressed them up with flats and sweaters, and wore them for lazy days with tees and sneakers, and have gotten tons of compliments.
I’d say they are tts (madewell size that is) I usually wear xxs and am 5,2’/ 120lbs, and that size would have worked great if I wasn’t pregggers. Now I’m 6 months along and 130lbs so I sized up to xs for comfort, I roll the elastic under the bump and they work wonderful.

Love the color
As another reviewer mentioned, I love how the color is muted. Other Madewell velvet items were super shiny and returned. I am a size 8 and a medium fits well, slightly large- there’s no way I’d be able to size down to a small. I like to wear them a little higher on my waist, but they do slide down.

Pretty, thick
These are made in a heavier fabric than I expected, so not as comfortable a I hoped. The color is beautiful though. The velvet sheen is a little muted, so they are not too shiny.

Luxurious fabric, super casual fit!
My favorite features of these pants are the tapered leg and uber soft, thick fabric. If you're looking for a high waisted pant these will disappoint, as (unlike traditional elastic-waisted athletic pants), they both sit fairly low and have a bit too much fabric in the crotch area. I wear them with a long shirt, thereby capitalizing on the pant's slim leg whilst hiding the somewhat unflattering stomach region. Give 'em a try if this kind of styling works for you!

Cozy fashionable comfort
These are so cute. They missed the mark for me in length. I’m 5’4” and usually wear a 25 regular and that fits me perfectly. I got an XXS and they’re great everywhere except length. But I love them anyway so I’ll keep them.

Not my favorite
Runs a bit large, I'm a 25 or 26 in jeans, the XS was too big. The material is a little stiff for velvet. Sent them back.
