Central Shirt in Stripe

Central Shirt in Stripe is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Madewell Does It Again! This is such a light and beautiful summer top. I've worn this shirt tucked into shorts, jeans, skirts- worn it tied up and loose, every which way looks great. The shirt drapes nicely, but isn't as structured as the courier shirts (which are my go to). If you prefer things a bit less flowy- size down. I am 5'7'' and wear a 12-14 40in bust and I could easily have fit the large, but chose the drape of the XL. Madewell tops have my heart.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely an essential shirt This is my new go-to for any time I want to look put together (with minimal effort). Love it with high waisted anything, culottes, and leggings. I got a medium, am 165, 5'6, and super small boobs. It hangs just right and is structured in a cozy way. Not see through at all so I can skip the bra, which is always a plus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely gorgeous! Hangs beautifully. Feels amazing. I get so many compliments for this shirt and wear it so much, I bought a second one. The only thing I don't understand is why Madewell hasn't yet taken this *perfect* combination of cut and fabric and made even more choices of color and pattern. I also own the Central Shirt in white (decent) but the other Central Shirts really don't hang as well as this one does due to subtle differences in weight and composition of the fabric.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great for postpartum/breastfeeding I bought this shirt specifically with recovering from labor and breastfeeding in mind. Stylish enough to wear out or to work, blousy enough to hide my recovering baby body in. I like it so much I bought it in a different color as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE- perfect for warmer months I stuck to my normal medium for Madewell and it is oversized. I like it that way, but some of you might consider sizing down. I think the model must be wearing a size larger because the sleeves were not that long on me. I do have broad shoulders though. This is a perfect lightweight shirt to transition into the warmer months. It breathes well and I know I will be able to wear it through the Texas heat. Will be wearing this a ton! Thanks Madewell!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hate viscose Please, make this style in cotton, like last year! Love the style, have central shirt in bright indigo. It fits large, but in beautifully way. I'm between xs and s, and xs is great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love it but The sleeves are too short. It looked in the picture like they were elbow length, but they are not at all. Loved the fabric. I had to return.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not cotton anymore! This shirt used to be great. I own one from last season in cotton and love it. Was going to buy another one this year, but now it's made of viscose instead. It's ruined. The shirring on the collar bones looks exaggerated now, and it just doesn't wear the same. Glad I tried it on in the store before ordering it. Same for the shirt dress. Really wanted to love it, but it's not happening for me in viscose. Hope they'll change it back to cotton next season.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One, two, three... MORE!! I purchased this blouse in the stripes and then needed the red gingham. I really love it! It does fit larger in the arms and across the front. Primarily because of the style of the blouse. The front has gathering at the shoulders which causes a billowy affect if you get your regular size. I'm generally a large/xl and I purchased a large. The only issue I have with it is - because I have wider hips, the bottom button pulls just a slight bit and the top bunchs up in the back instead of lying flat over my bottom. However, it is a shorter length so that doesn't bother me. If you did go larger to avoide this possibly happening to you, it gets really overwhelming in the arms and chest. I recommend a front tuck if you do go larger. All in all, I ❤️ this blouse and I intend to buy more prints and solids. One note: the white one is an entirely different material than the stripe and the gingham. So it is more of a stiff button down and not as comfy or soft feeling.
