Rated 5 out of 5 by Verified Reviewer True to size and amazing
I am writing this review as a public service announcement to narrate an alternative experience from the previous reviews.
This is my first and possibly only leather jacket. I had been wanting one for many years and never felt the urge to splurge on one until I saw this one. Navy blue is my favorite color and seeing this jacket made my jaw drop. However, the reviews recommended ordering up one size and the small was sold out. I decided to not even order the XS for fear of disappointment.
I am 5'4" and 110 lbs and generally wear XS and 00/0 in Madewell. I ordered the XS since I could not stop thinking about this and I have to say that this fits amazingly well. It is supposed to be fitted and I completely understand why someone would feel restrained in it. Leather is stiff as it is and fitted leather can be deemed downright uncomfortable. But this jacket is lined and I thought the XS fit like a dream.
So if you are an XS considering this, do it! You will not be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jennifer26 Great quality, snug fit
Agree with other reviewers that the jacket fits very snugly. I'm typically a 0 or XS in Madewell and other brands, but I ordered small after reading the reviews. The small fits great, though as noted by someone else the sleeves are slightly long for me at 5'3".
However, the quality is superb and I liked the color - I was worried that it would be too blueish but it has a nice almost black tone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Hilary Tight Sleeves
I really like the color and finish of this jacket there are some nice details. My issue is with the sleeves. They are too tight. I ordered the M which is my normal size. I am going to order the L and return the M and see if it fits better but I have a feeling it will be too big. I also wish the sleeves were shorter. They are pretty long. Price is high but if I can find the right fit I think it might be worth it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by SWest Cute jacket
I really liked this jacket. I ordered it more just to see it in person and I wanted to keep it. Unfortunately my budget doesn't allow for that right now, but worth starting a small fund for. I really liked the navy color and the matte finish to the leather. It seemed like it ran slightly small to me, more designed for a snug fit. Overall, a very nice jacket.

Rated 3 out of 5 by RBC1 This jacket has potential
I didn't hesitate to order this jacket, even though it is a bit pricey. I loved that it was navy, not the usual black. I like the tough/tender combination in clothing so I pictured wearing the jacket with floral dresses, sequined tops or anything girly.
It arrived in just 2 days. Great shipping service from Madewell!
I typically wear a size 4, and get a petite if it's available. The other reviews and the comments about the snug sleeves convinced me to order the jacket in medium.
I should have sized up because the medium jacket is very snug, especially around the waist. I worried about the sleeves but they were fine. It's the waist area that is out of proportion.
Unfortunately, the jacket is going back to Madewell tomorrow!

Rated 2 out of 5 by LizzieM Disappointed
The color is a lovely inky blue, and the inset sleeve design makes this easy to move in. I ordered up a size to a medium thanks to the reviews, and the fit was perfect, even in the sleeves. This jacket has some big problems, however.
The zipper on mine was put in wrong so when the jacket is zipped, the front left side is longer than the right and the horizontal stitching at the waist doesn't line up.
The top of the collar doesn't look right when zipped all the way up. There's a weird space between the two sides. I guess this jacket is meant to be worn open or partially zipped only, thus limiting its use to milder weather.
The leather is pretty stiff and not buttery as described. With wear it may soften up, but I won't find out as it's going back due to the zipper issue. What a bummer. The search for the perfect leather jacket continues.
