Central Shirt in Gingham Check

Central Shirt in Gingham Check is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fabric Unlike others, I prefer the viscose fabric as it's more durable. I have another central shirt in cotton which I love, but am always so worried that it will rip. I got this in an xxs as it's oversized. I'm even using it as a maternity shirt in my 3rd trimester and it still looks great. Super versatile and probably my favorite item that madewell has ever made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Central shirt #5 This is my fifth central shirt! I wasn't sure about this one as some of the reviews weren't so favorable regarding the fabric. I went to check it out IRL at the store and it seemed of perfectly nice quality. I like how flowy it is and that it's different from the others in my collection (though my favorites are still the super-lightweight cotton versions). I love the versatility of the central shirts - they can be worn year-round, the sleeves don't bunch and look weird under sweaters, they look great tied up in the front with high-rise jeans and the cut is comfy and flattering. I got this one in an xs and it's super roomy (as usual) - for reference I'm 5'10"/130 lbs. I've found you can usually size up or down in these and it doesn't make a huge difference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Love! I got this gingham checked top in a size XS which I wear in Oversized Madewell tops. I am 5'8 127 with smaller arms/ upper body. This style is wide across the chest but has a slimmer profile through the sleeves and the longer hem. Somehow it is flattering! I haven't washed it yet but I will not dry it. Viscose is thick and great but does shrink. Overall SUPER CUTE.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from swingy This is second shirt in this cut/style which I have purchased. Looks good in both patterns and both can be worn with a long sleeve t-shirt underneath for cooler weather or without when warm. I love the way it hangs and is swingy. The material is lovely. Well made. I haven't washed yet but hopeful it will be easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Constant Closet Rotation I adore this Central shirt with this viscose fabric! It has some more weight than the regular cotton version so it drapes really nicely and keeps it shape. It feels a little strange when wet and transferring it from the washer to dryer - but once dry it's back to be its dreamy self. Super happy with this purchase. This central shirt stole my #1 spot that was formerly the Courier shirt! Would love to see more options with this fabric!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Love Love this Shirt This is one of the most comfortable shirts I have ever worn and it looks great. I can dress it up with the right skirt but is also great with jeans. My only advice is to order a size down as it is sized big. Cute, cute, cute, cute.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cute and Comfortable I purchased this top in my usual size (small). The fit is looser which I very much liked as it's cozy. The material is holding up well and I am very pleased with my purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tall girl review I absolutely love the look of these shirts so i had to try one. I went XL despite all the reviews i read saying it was oversized and i wanted it to look as it does on the model. I am glad i did otherwise length would have been a concern for me. I am 5'11, 160 pounds. I am generally a 30 or 31 tall in Madewell pants. If you have a long torso like i do and want the look like the models are sporting, size up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Feels bigger than other central shirts I'm not sure if it's the fabric, but it feels like it's a little bigger than the other central shirts I've bought before. The viscose is a little heavier than I'd like for a shirt heading into summer, but I can see myself wearing this as more transitional through spring and fall. It is very cute but I'd like it more in a cotton or cotton blend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cute style, terrible fabric! The color and print of this shirt are really cute, but the viscose fabric is truly unfortunate. It looks and feels super cheap and plastic-y. It's also quite heavy and not something I'd want to wear into the coming spring months. Madewell, please make more things in natural fabrics like cotton and silk!
