The Perfect Tunic in Stripe

The Perfect Tunic in Stripe is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty but runs small I saw this top and immediately fell in love with it! only complaint would be that it's a bit tight on the arms. I'm 5'1 and 130

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great cut the cut is quirky and effortless, and it really depends on your body type. for me it's extremely satisfying.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Feels great, looks great I love the look and feel of this shirt! I ordered a small (which is my typical size in Madewell button ups) and it is just a tad snug across the chest, but a medium may have been too big. This will definitely be a staple in my closet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Few tiny kinks but very much worth it Like others, I also found this tunic to be a bit tight across the chest, but I bought it in my regular size anyways (I'm a 34B but the gals sit high on my chest so they act a bit bigger than they are...I ordered a small and am happy with my choice). I also want to call attention to the fact that this IS a tunic, not a full button-down. Madewell in no way insinuated the latter, but one might, like I did, see the top half and just assume without thinking that it goes all the way down. Since it is a long tunic, it can be a bit awkward to tuck in at first but once it is in, it's beautiful, comfortable, and looks very well made, even on my shorter torso. I love this top!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good buy I love the tunic and this makes a great addition to my wardrobe (especially since I bought these on sale). Will look great with skinny jeans /Denim bermudas. Great for a casual day wear look. Love the neck and as usual Madewell did a great job with the design... Bought my regular size - S. As suggested by others, slightly tight on the chest area. But am keeping it since I can manage it. Thanks Madewell :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Small This is an oversized style, yet runs a bit small, especially across the chest. Cute, but looks a little like a pj top.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Quite Perfect Tunic Madewell, I love you, and I'll keep buying from you because when you get it right you make the best pieces in my closet. But I end up returning probably 1 in 4 pieces due to issues with cut and sizing. This is an example of the latter. I own the Perfect Tunic in silk, and it IS perfect. I thought, ooh, I'll buy it in cotton and I'll have an even easier care version. Unfortunately, the cut is entirely different, and way too small through the back and shoulders. I'm a 36C and I buy mediums because I like a slightly over sized fit, but this is just cut wrong. The fabric is nice, I wanted to love it, but I'd be swimming in a Large and the Small is out of the question. Please work on standardizing your sizing? Pretty please?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't trust the Size Chart or your previous sizing I bought this item Final Sale, but was confident it would fit based on the sizing of similar shirts I bought and after confirming with the Size Chart. Unfortunately I could not get the shirt over my shoulders and had to have it pulled off because it was too tight around my arms. After this experience, I'm sure it was marked Final Sale because the sizing is off. Likely there were manufacturer defects and Madewell is trying to offload the inventory. Overall rating 1 Star: I unfortunately got stuck with a shirt I can never wear. Appearance: I was not able to tell how the shirt looked because I could not lower my arms. Quality 4 Stars: I liked the feel of the fabric despite the fit. Comfort 1 Star: Poor sizing. Value 1 Star: I got no value for a product I cannot wear.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very uncomfortable shirt I really wanted to love this shirt and bought both the blue one and white one on sale. It looks great in the photo, but runs really really small. I am usually a medium but the sleeves are really short and the shoulders are too tight and small and just doesn't feel like it was made in the proper proportions, if I went up a size, it would be huge in the torso, but the med was way too tight in shoulders and short in the arms. I can't wear either one.
