i love this. a bit pricey, so I felt a little silly purchasing it, but it looks like the perfect vintage french preppy sweatshirt. i expect to wear for many seasons and many years.

La Francaise!
I love this sweatshirt. It is not super cozy on the inside, but it's nice quality. When I washed it and dried it in the dryer, it shrunk about one size. Be careful with the heat!

Soft and cozy
I was skeptical to pay so much for a sweatshirt but it is REALLY soft, well made, and the logo is just really cool. I have been wearing it a lot on chilly nights. It is true to size. I am 5'6" 120 pounds and got the x-small. I would have preferred a small so that it would be baggy on me but they were all out of stock. The XS is fitted but still nice.

Quality item
For reference I am 5'1" 135lb and ordered size M. The fit is loose on me. Depending on how I like my sweatshirts to fit I may stick with this size. But if I want a more tailored look I'll go with a size small. The fabric is of great quality and the embroidery is nicely stitched in. Overall great item.

Gorgeous Chic Sweatshirt!!
Saw this sweatshirt and knew I had to have it! Effortlessly chic in person and perfect with jean shorts for cooler summer nights and jeans for fall. Usually I'm hesitant about items with other languages on them because they can so easily look trendy, cheap, or like the design team was trying too hard to be "cool". Madewell is usually great about this and this piece is their magnum opus!! Looks like a vintage 90's find in a shop from Paris. Really high quality as well! It's neither too thick as to be bulky and it's not itchy. Overall a home run Madewell! Couldn't be happier :)

Incredible Purchase!
I fell completely in love with this sweater the day it came out. I bought the Large and the XL to compare sizes and overall the Large fit better (true to size). The XL is quite big so unless you're going for a prominent oversized look, I wouldn't size up.
