I tried this shirt in my usual Madewell size of XS and found it to fit similar to the "shrunken fit" shirts that Madewell carried a couple of seasons ago, but a little bit better. Compared to one of those shirts in the same size, I found the shoulders to be slightly wider and the length at the hem to be a couple of inches longer, both of which I very much appreciated. The fabric quality was great. Very soft and snuggly. I ultimately returned it because I have too many blue plaid shirts and because the thin stripes that I thought were orange are actually pink, which I did not prefer. It's really a very cute, warm shirt though. Great buy!

I love everything about this flannel! It's soft, thick, fitted but not too tight. I would definitely recommend purchasing it for your fall/winter wardrobe!

I ordered this shirt and another flannel and I was really on the fence about size. Normally, I wear a small or a medium - medium in button-down tops. I'm 5'4" and a 35.5 inch bust, but I find that sometimes button-down tops want to pull at the chest. I was all set to order my Madewell flannels in medium but I glanced at the size chart and saw that they run a little small. I'm used to stores calling a medium an 8-10 and I'm a 6-8, which is a Madewell medium. SO. I wasn't sure what to do. In the end, I went with a large. I have NO OTHER shirts in my closet that are a size L. The shirts came and they're a bit roomy but I can tell that if I had gotten the medium, they would be less great for layering. So if you want something more fitted, go with a smaller size, but if you're looking to layer over another top and you want a more relaxed, comfy fit, go up a size. (Incidentally, I also ordered a sweater in a medium and it's kind of too big, so I am exchanging that for a small).
