Perfect grunge-y jacket
I bought this jacket because it reminded me of the jackets Cole Sprouse's Jughead wears on the TV show Riverdale. It has since exceeded my expectations. The sherpa makes it super warm, but not so warm that I can't wear it when it's not freezing outside. The sherpa also doesn't extend into the sleeves, which are instead lined with a really nice satin-y feeling fabric. I've worn this almost everyday since I got it. Overall, a super versatile, cozy jacket.

Stylish and comfortable
This is perfect for cool LA winters, and is easy to move around in. I ordered a Small and I'm usually a Small/Medium in tops, so the jacket is a little oversized. I wasn't sure about the black on black, but it works. I wear mine most with black skinnies. Thank you Madewell for another amazing and reasonably priced staple!

Denim Jacket Plus Warmth
This is a great jacket for fall and spring. I am pleasantly surprised at how warm it has proven to be. It feels very well-made and high quality. Classic and also very trendy I look forward to getting a lot of use out of the jacket. The shoulders are slightly bulky but for an oversized fit I feel that is par for the course, and allows for easy layering with sweaters.

Cozy warm boyfriend style
I got this jacket in store for an amazing sale price and I couldn't not scoop it up. I ended up with the large as it was the last one left, however it does fit perfectly for laying. I live in Toronto and always wearing chunky sweaters in the winter that I have a hard time fitting under other jackets, but this jacket just slips right over. I love the oversized look, yet not too masculine (I am 5 8", 150 lbs, and typically a 28 in jeans, M or L in tops). If you are thinking of getting this jacket, do it!!!

Subtle jughead vibes
I really like the oversized feel of this jacket, especially since it’s sherpalined all through. Because of the black, the jacket goes with whatever you pull on. The only things I’d be weary about is the weight: wthis jacket is heavy and has some volume to it.

Oversized in an unflattering way
one of the things that annoys me about madewell is that they never have normal straight-on modeling shots of the models in the clothes, the models are always in weird poses or the pictures are taken from weird angles so you don't know how the actual clothing item lays against the body. That being said, to get a better idea of the fit of this jacket, check out the pictures of the blue jean version of this jacket. First the pros: this is a substantial warm jacket, perfect for 50 degree weather before you want to break out the down puffer jacket. Downside is the fit, the modeling pics make the jacket seem slightly more fitted than it is. I was expecting oversized, but a slightly baggier/roomier version of a jean jacket, sort of what it looks like on the model. However, the actual fit is very awkward and unflattering. It made me look frumpy and shapeless when I wanted to look vintage and chill. It really does look like I'm wearing my boyfriends jacket but not in a chic way.

Too boxy
The model shots make this jacket appear more fitted. The actual fit is VERY BOXY and unfeminine. Not the look that I was wanting our expected. I ordered a M which is my typical Madewell top size. I do believe that I could get away with a S but I don't think that the fit will be any better.
