Great high rise option for Fall transition
Love these high rise, true denim crops. Had to size down a full size from my usual 27 (5'6, 135) to a 26. Solid denim - not the stretchy stuff, but old school denim. A nice alternative for the vintage look without the epic search required. The two tone effect is slightly subtle on the pair I received, but it does still show. Looking forward to wearing these into the Fall.

Suprised I love these
I randomly tried these on, thinking I would hate them, but they are great. Very figure flattering. I've tried high rise jeans in the past and they look terrible on me, but these I liked. They are made from a thicker denim, which is what I prefer. There's not really any stretch, but I usually wear a 28 in Madewell jeans and these 28s fit great. I wouldn't call them two-tone though. It's really the same wash, with just a seam around the knee. But I like that better. If you're on the fence, I would give these a try.

Perfect trendy
Perfect trendy Jean. Hundred percent cotton which I love! Huge belt loops which I really really love! Subtle but distinctive styling cues. Flares out at just at the right spot on my leg. PS I’m 5 foot eight. Wish they had more in my size!

Super Fresh for someone else
I LOVED these jeans when I saw them online! I snagged them as soon as I saw them on sale. Unfortunately, at 5'3", 150 lbs, athletic build, it did absolutely nothing to flatter my figure. I thought the two-toned denim was unique and understated. I pictured myself sporting these with retro sneaks and cute tops but it just looked like baggy 'mom' jeans on me. I think on someone more slender and taller, these would look pretty dope ;-)

Great jeans but runs large
I had a madewell straight jeans for 24 and it is a little tight for me, so I bought a size 25 for this one. However it runs so large that I can even put a fist in! Overall it is great and I love the two tone design, even though it is not as obvious as the picture shows. But it looks special!

My favorite jeans, except....
I love these jeans. They are probably my favorite pair. My only complaint is that after just a few wears they started to wear thin at the knees near the two-tone seam. So disappointing. I wish they were still in stock, I'd order a backup pair!!

Flattering
I usually wear 26/27 (5’3” 126lb athletic build) but I had to size down to 25 for these. I’m not sure if it’s because these are meant for taller people but the waist was gaping on me with size 26. The quality is nice and I like how these jeans have minimal stretch. I do wish Madewell would start making jeans in petite lengths though because I would’ve loved these jeans even more if they were an inch shorter.

Surprisingly flattering
Be aware that these jeans have zero stretch, but the pure cotton will eventually conform to your body. I ordered my regular size, 31, and initially found them to be uncomfortably tight, but they stretched after a single wear, and are now pretty comfy. They're surprisingly flattering, especially as someone with larger hips and thighs I've struggled with cropped jeans, but the high waist and tight fit across the hips and butt makes them look far better than I expected them to. The two tone isn't blaring, but obvious enough to make them unique. I don't think I would've purchased if they weren't on sale, but I've already worn them several times since I've gotten them.
