Your new favorite white button up!
What hooked me into buying this top was it's overall style! The classic white button up shirt w/ a fun twist (literally)! Plus the texture of the shirt is very flexible, breathable, and soft (unlike your standard button-down). I did not experience any issues w/ the sizing. I am 5'2, 102lbs, 32C and the XS fit perfectly! I also did not experience any issues with the top being "see-thru" as some of the other reviews said. I've never owned a button up shirt for casual wear out of fear it'd give me too much of a "business" woman look, but this one has a flirty fun feel to it which I love and is a MUST for your spring wardrobe!

So in love!
I am so obsessed with this shirt. It fits a little oversize for Madewell shirts. I purchased a small and usually their shirts fit a little tight on the sleeves on me, but this fit perfectly. So classy yet casual I can't wait to wear it. I'm already planning on buying another one for when I inevitably spill on it. Would love to see this top come in more colors!

True to size - size up for a more relaxed fit
I have this shirt in two other colors and so I knew that this fits more true to size than oversized like some other Madewell shirts. While it is true to size, I think the shoulders are a little narrow/snug.
Because of this I sized up to a Medium because I wanted a more oversized and relaxed look for this shirt. I'm glad that I did that, because this material is thicker than my other shirts, since it's all cotton.
Like another reviewer said, it is slightly cool toned. Also, it's quite opaque and not sheer at all. I can wear a nude bra underneath and you can't see it. Great for the summer.

Classic white button down but better
I have been searching for a white button down for awhile but they always have something just a bit wrong with them. This shirt is perfect. Love the front tie and that there isn't extra bulky material in the back. So soft but not sheer or too thick. A perfect closet staple. I stayed TTS and bought a small (5'5, 128 lb) but wanted it more form fitting. To get the looser look I would have needed a medium

One of my favorite Madewell purchases to date
I snatched this up as soon as my size became available again! It's great quality. The fabric is soft and not stiff as some cotton button-ups can be and the tie front isn't bulky. It's extremely versatile--I've already paired it with high-waisted pants for work, a silk a-line skirt, jeans. The possibilities are endless!

I bought ANOTHER ONE!
I received my shirt three weeks ago and I have worn it so many times so far that I just bought another one! Just in case it's not back from the cleaners when wanted. I can not stress how cute this shirt is. I'm 5"7' 120 and wear XS in most tops (32C). I wanted this casual and comfy and that's just what it is. I got this top in a "small"... I can't wait to wear it with swimsuit bottoms and a big hat for the pool! I've been wearing it with Skinny high waisted jeans so far. Must purchase!!!!!!!!

Prefect Shirt
The fabric is so soft and thick enough. The tie-front design is really cute. This is a whole year piece. I am 5' 4 and 105 lb. I bought size XS, and it fits perfectly.

Great soft cotton, sits well
The material of the shirt is exceptionally soft which makes the shirt sit well and not be a 'ball' above the tie. Suits well with jeans but also in the office, at least when combined with more formal trousers etc.
As for the fit, I am 5'4, 115, 34b with straight body form and xs was perfect.

This shirt is so soft and made with really nice comfy cotton. The back doesn't have a long tail so nothing is tucked in in the back. The front is made to tie so there is no gathering like with a long button up shirt. You can
tie either tightly or loose like. The sleeves look great scrunched up like the picture. Easily dressed up or down. I have worn with cut offs & with jeans and wedges. True to size. I am 5'5" 120lbs and got
a small. Perfect. I really recommend you get this shirt. I haven't washed it yet (just ironed) but when I do, I will hand wash and iron a little, hence the 4 stars not 5 on quality. But I am sure it should be a 5!!!
