It’s no secret that we have very wearable cashmere at very reasonable prices. But did you know we’re working extra hard to source the supersoft fabric responsibly and invest in the sustainable future of the industry? Here’s the lowdown on our highly coveted cashmere.
THE GOOD CASHMERE STANDARD®
Developed by the Aid by Trade Foundation, this independent initiative focuses on transparency and traceability. Starting in November, we’ll be the first U.S. retailer to offer Good Cashmere Standard–certified styles, which means as leaders pushing the industry forward, our cashmere will comply with their benchmarks of conserving nature, protecting goats and supporting farmers.
SUSTAINABLE FIBRE ALLIANCE
In 2019, we were the first U.S.-based company to join the SFA, a nonprofit that conserves grassland biodiversity, advocates for herder communities and ensures the well-being of goats. Together we’re committed to helping the environment, people and animals of the cashmere sector.
RECYCLED CASHMERE (!)
That’s right—we’re introducing brand-new pieces made from preloved cashmere. Not only do we reuse fabric, but we also skip the dye process, which saves a lot of solvent and water. Plus, every style is woven with wool to last even longer. And yes, they feel just as warm and soft too.
