U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission – Recall
Release Date: July 16, 2026
Madewell Product Recall Notice
Recall Information
At Madewell, the safety and trust of our customers are our top priorities. We recently became aware of an incident involving two sweater styles from our Holiday 2024 collection. These sweaters may not fully meet federal flammability standards for clothing textiles, posing a potential risk of burn injuries. Out of an abundance of caution, we are voluntarily recalling these two sweater styles in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) at this time. Our action to address this potential risk reflects our commitment to taking the safety and trust of our customers seriously.
How to Confirm If Your Sweater Is Being Recalled
The two recalled sweaters are the Women’s Double V-Neck Sweater and V-Neck Cardigan. You can confirm if your sweater is affected by locating the tag beneath the care label on the left inside seam. If this tag lists style number “NT611” or “NT612” and the season identifier “HO24,” the sweater is being recalled.
