Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful, versatile sweater! I really like this sweater and would recommend it. Only problem is that it's a bit see-through, even in the black that I purchased, so it's difficult to wear for work unless I wear something else over it. Super comfy and soft though and goes well with lots of things.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful add-on to the fall collection I saw the canterbury red in store and was instantly in love with the color. It is a very versatile piece with the perfect shade of clopper-red for the fall. I'm 115 lbs, 5'4" and got the S. I find this item runs a bit small as I am usually XS in madewell tops.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super soft sweater I purchased this sweater in both the gray and burgundy colors. They look exactly like the photos. I purchased my normal size in Madewell tops (xxs) and it fits true to size (I'm 100lbs, 34B). This sweater is light, but not thin or see through. It is super soft and warm enough to wear on a fall day.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Slightly see-through but very chic I bought this top in "hthr oyster" (off white) and as others have noted, it is a little risque to not wear with something underneath. I wore it with a white bralette under but you could still see the outline of the bralette. I thought it was a cute look, however I would recommend a skintone-matching nude if you really care if people can see that you're wearing a bra (but why?). The material is very lightweight and a little rough, but not enough that it makes you uncomfortable or notice it while wearing. I'm not sure if it will get caught on things easily and snag, fingers crossed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pilling and snags after one wear I bought it a couple of days ago and wore it once. I literally sat on the couch all day so there's no way I could have done real damage to it. If it was truly 100% merino wool it wouldn't pill so quickly. I'm going to bring it back today and see what they say.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Throwback This shirt reminds me of the 90s and 2000s! Super cute with high waisted jeans. Love the sleeves and the slim cut - so flattering!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very flattering, not excellent quality This sweater looks amazing on and it's soft to the touch. However, I'm not 100% pleased with the quality of the material and the fact that it's dry clean only. Most merino wool is washer safe but I have a feeling this piece couldn't handle even a gentle cycle wash so I'm not taking any chances. I'm keeping it because it really looks amazing on, yet I wouldn't recommend it for those who prefer durable over fashionable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great wine colored sweater I bought these in white and wine color. The white has a bit of weathered grey to it, it's also kind of see through even with nude colored bra. The white is going back. The wine colored top is absolutely gorgeous, the color has a tint of orange to it makes it a very warm toned. Great color and style.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect layering piece This is great, versatile top. As another reviewer said, it's very throwback '90-'00s, and it looks great with high-waisted jeans. It also looks great with high-waisted trousers, skirts, or overalls - but it is short, so high-waisted is key. My one complaint is that the fabric is a little thin/flimsy - it's not bad quality, but it's not quite as good quality as most of the Madewell stuff I have. Still, it's a great layering piece. I bought the Canterbury Red (which is actually significantly lighter/more orange than it looks online), and will probably buy in at least one more color before the season is over. It's just so useful. It also runs a little small - I usually wear a small at Madewell, and had to get an extra small in this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect This is the perfect top I've looked for for years. The elbow sleeves and soft dainty texture have me in love. The neck is much more crew on me than in these photos which is exactly what I hoped for. I will say, it's a delicate top, so know what you are signing up for. I love hand washing and taking extra special care of my favorite clothes. But I'm weird. So if you're not that type of person you may not be happy with the durability of this top.
